10 things to do in 2018

So before you all roll your eyes at me, this post isn’t strictly a new years resolution post. Think of it as more of a to do list? There are some things in here that are more resolutiony than others, but we here we go!

Get a second ear piercing (in each ear) – I’ve meaning to do this for months and honestly I just kept forgetting about it or didn’t have enough money on me when I remembered.

Write more – I’ve started getting into poetry more over the past few months but I want to practice it more, I go weeks without writing a new piece which I’m not happy about. This point also includes journalling, I haven’t been doing that as much as I would have liked and I bought my journal all the way back in April!

Pass my driving test – Maybe a little self explanatory

Read 30 books – My goal for 2017 was to read 20 books, which I managed. I have read over 30 books in a year before but that was when I wasn’t in sixth form and being given a lot of homework everyday, so we’ll see how this one goes. (Speaking of, I have a goodreads account if you wanna check that out!)

Get more books – This one sorta goes hand in hand with the last one, 2017 was the year for makeup. I was really into it and I spent a lot of my  money on it, which I don’t regret. But this coming year I’d like to buy more books and also visit the library more often again, I haven’t been in a long, long time! I’m sorta curious to try audio books, so that maybe I could listen to a book instead of music on my way to school? Do well in exams – This one is fairly obvious, but I didn’t do as well as I could’ve last year and I’m determined to do better this time around.

Start waking up early again – I partially blame the fact that it’s still almost pitch black outside when I wake up at 7am and even then I can barely get myself out of bed. I used to wake up at 5:30am, you know, back when the sun existed. I’d like to pick up that habit again and try to stick to it regardless of the lack of light outside.

Take more pictures – I’ve already started implementing this one these past few months but there’s always more that I can do and so much more to take pictures of!

Try to draw more – Not necessarily well! I love drawing and I know I’m not very good at it but I don’t see why I have to be good at something in order to enjoy it! I’m going to start with just doodles and cartoony style drawing because I don’t think anything even semi resembling real life is going to be enjoyable for me.

Continue to work on my blog – This one may seem like a bit of a ‘duh’ one for some, but up until this year I didn’t actually blog all that much! In fact doing blogtober was the kick I needed to actually start blogging and then I eventually went self hosted a month later and here we are! I want to continue to grow this lil blog, it’s been chill so far but let’s see how far I can push it.
